The outer sleeve is easy to strip away which is not the case with most CAT 5 cables. Haven't used the cable yet so can't comment on performance. I recommend this cable - got it when shipping was free. The CAT cable is T568A color coded, and the wires are solid conductors. The white strips are easy to spot.
It's therefore difficult to verify RJ45 wiring pin placement when attaching an RJ45 connector. The cable is spooled in the box so that it easily unwinds as it is pulled out. What I don't like is that the white-stripes are quite thin making it difficult to distinquish between solid colored and white-striped wires.
